Doutora em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília. Mestre em Direitos Humanos pela London School of Economics (2007), Mestre em Migração Forçada pela University of Oxford (2005), Barachel em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília (2003). Ex-fellow do Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (2015-2016). Atuou na Assessoria Internacional da Secretaria de Direitos Humanos da Presidência da República (2011-2013), no Gabinete-Adjunto de Informações em Apoio à Decisão do Gabinete Pessoal da Presidenta da República (2013-2016) e como Coordenadora-Geral do Comitê Nacional para Refugiados (CONARE) (2016). Chefe do Escritório de Campo do ACNUR, Agência da ONU para Refugiados, em São Paulo desde 2017.

Acted as International Advisor at the Secretariat for Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic (2011-2013), as Advisor at the President's Personal Cabinet (2003-2016) and as Executive Secretary of the Brazilian National Committee for Refugees (2016). Currently is the Head of the UNHCR Field Office in São Paulo since 2017.
