Daniel de França Brasil Soares

Graduated in Modern Languages (Portuguese and German) at the Federal University of Ceará (2012) and Master's Degree in Linguistics at the Federal University of Ceará (2018). He was an exchange student at Universität zu Köln, Germany, for studies in Germanistics and Lusitanistics. He participated as a linguist in the NLP (Natural Language Processing) project in the Computer Networks, Software and Systems Engineering Group (GREat) of the UFC Department of Computing. He is currently a PhD candidate in Linguistics at the Graduate Program at the Federal University of Ceará (PPGL-UFC). He is a member of the Computation and Natural Language Research Group (CompLin) and develops research in the area of linguistic analysis and applied linguistics with an emphasis on automatic processing of syntax, from the perspective of Generative Grammar, especially in the LFG (Lexical-Functional English) model. Grammar) and HPSG (Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar). He is interested in artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, and natural language processing.

Foi intercambista na Universität zu Köln, Alemanha, para estudos em Germanística e Lusitanística. Participou como linguista do projeto NLP (do inglês Natural Language Processing) no Grupo de Redes de Computadores, Engenharia de Software e Sistemas (GREat) do Departamento de Computação da UFC. Atualmente é doutorando em Linguística no Programa de Pós-Graduação da Universidade Federal do Ceará (PPGL-UFC). É membro do Grupo de Pesquisa Computação e Linguagem Natural (CompLin) e desenvolve pesquisa na área de análise linguística e linguística aplicada com ênfase no processamento automático da sintaxe, sob a perspectiva da Gramática Gerativa, especialmente no modelo da LFG (do inglês Lexical-Functional Grammar) e da HPSG (do inglês Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar). Tem interesse em inteligência artificial, linguística computacional e processamento de linguagem natural.
