Marilia de Carvalho Lima

Eu me graduei em Medicina pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1973), obtive os títulos de Mestre em Pediatra pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1979), MSc in Mother and Child Health pelo Institute of Child Health da Universidade de Londres (1988) e PhD em Nutrição pela London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine da Universidade de Londres (1995). Sou Professora Titular de Pediatria, Área Acadêmica de Pediatria - Centro de Ciências Médicas da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Atualmente sou docente Colaboradora do Programas de Pós-graduação em Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Coordenei a Pós-graduação em Saúde da Criança e do Adolescente - UFPE nos períodos de 2003 a 2007 e 2011 a 2013. Tenho experiência nas áreas de Nutrição e Saúde Materno Infantil com ênfase no baixo peso ao nascer, crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil, aleitamento materno e micronutrientes. Sou Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq - Nível 2.

I graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Pernambuco (1973), obtained the MSc in Paediatrics at the Federal University of Pernambuco (1979), MSc in Mother and Child Health at the Institute of Child Health, University of London (1988) and PhD in Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London (1995). I am Full Professor of Pediatrics, Academic Area of Pediatrics - Center for Medical Sciences at the UFPE. Currently I am a Collaborating Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Child and Adolescent Health at the UFPE. I coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Child and Adolescent Health - UFPE in the periods 2003 to 2007 and 2011 to 2013. I have experience in the areas of Nutrition and Maternal and Child Health with emphasis on low birth weight, growth and child development, breastfeeding and micronutrients. I am a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow - Level 2.
