Doutor em Sociologia pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2013). Atualmente, é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, no Núcleo de Formação Docente (NFD), Campus do Agreste (CAA/UFPE) e Professor Permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Contemporânea (PPGEDUC/UFPE). Coordenador do curso de Pedagogia-Licenciatura (NFD/CAA/UFPE), Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq: Processos de Subjetivação, Educação, Gênero e Sexualidade/UFPE; vice-líder do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq: DIVERSIONES - Direitos Humanos, Poder e Cultura em Gênero e Sexualidade. UFPE; membro do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq: Religiosidades, Educação, Memórias e Sexualidades; Coordenador do Eixo Temático 06: Gênero, Sexualidade e Educação no Encontro de Pesquisa Educacional em Pernambuco (EPEPE) e Coordenador do Grupo de Trabalho 10: Gênero, Homens, Masculinidades e Intersecções, do Encontro Internacional da Rede Feminista Norte e Nordeste de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Mulher e Relações de Gênero. Coordinator of Thematic Axis 06: Gender, Sexuality and Education at the Educational Research Meeting in Pernambuco (EPEPE). Develops research on the themes: Gender, Sexuality, Human Rights and their relations with Educational Policies, Sociology of Education, Interculturality and Intersectionalities.
