Aureo Deo de Freitas Junior

Possui graduação em Violoncello Performance pela University of Missouri (Columbia, 1989), mestrado em Violoncello Performance pela Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, 1992) e Ph.D. em Educação Musical pela University of South Carolina (Columbia, 2005). Atualmente é Pesquisador Produtividade em Pesquisa (CNPq) e professor do Instituto de Ciências da Arte da UFPA (ICA) onde ensina nos Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes (PPGARTES) e Programa Mestrado Profissional em Artes em Rede Nacional (PROFARTES). Atua também, na Escola Técnica de Música da Universidade Federal do Pará (EMUFPA), onde ensina violoncelo. Na extensão universitária, coordena a Orquestra de Violoncelistas da Amazônia (OVA) e Orquestra Inclusiva de Violoncelistas da EMUFPA (OIV-EMUFPA). Na pesquisa, coordena o Grupo de Pesquisa Transtornos do Desenvolvimento e Dificuldades de Aprendizagem (GP-TDDA).

Prof. Dr. Áureo DeFreitas holds a degree in Cello Performance from the University of Missouri (Columbia, 1989), a Master's degree in Cello Performance from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, 1992) and a Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, 2005). He is currently Researcher Productivity in Research (CNPq) and professor at the Institute of Art Sciences at UFPA (ICA) where he teaches in the Graduate Program in Arts (PPGARTES) and in the Professional Master's Program in Arts in National Network (PROFARTES). He also works at the Technical School of Music at the Federal University of Pará (EMUFPA), where he teaches the cello. In the university extension, he coordinates the Amazon Cello Choir (OVA) and the Inclusive Cello Choir of EMUFPA (OIV-EMUFPA). As a researcher, he coordinates the Developmental Disorders and Learning Disabilities Research Group (GP-TDDA).
