Dheyne Silva Melo

Agronomist by the Federal University of Ceará (2004). Master and Doctor in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Federal University of Lavras (2007/2010). He was a researcher at the Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC) from 2008 to 2010, conducting the Genetic Improvement Program for Sugarcane in the Northeast Region. He is currently Researcher A at Embrapa Agroindustry Tropical (Fortaleza-CE), coordinating the Cajueiro Genetic Improvement project - Phase V, in the states of Ceará, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte. He is a member of the Local Publications Committee (CLP / Embrapa Agroindustry Tropical) and of the Local Intellectual Property Committee (CLPI / Embrapa Agroindustry Tropical). He was a member of the SustCaju Arrangement - Sustainability of the Cajueiro Productive Chain (2013-2018). He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with an emphasis on Plant Breeding, acting mainly on the following themes: Genetic improvement of vegetative propagation species, Quantitative genetics, Experimentation and Statistical analysis.

Engenheiro agrônomo pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2004). Mestre e Doutor em Genética e Melhoramento de Plantas pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (2007/2010). Foi pesquisador do Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (CTC) de 2008 à 2010, conduzindo o Programa de Melhoramento Genético de Cana-de-açúcar na Região Nordeste. Atualmente é Pesquisador A da Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical (Fortaleza-CE), coordenando o projeto do Melhoramento Genético do Cajueiro - Fase V, nos Estados do Ceará, Piauí e Rio Grande do Norte. É membro do Comitê Local de Publicações (CLP/Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical) e do Comitê Local de Propriedade Intelectual (CLPI/Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical). Foi membro do Arranjo SustCaju - Sustentabilidade da Cadeia Produtiva do Cajueiro (2013-2018). Tem experiência na área de Agronomia, com ênfase em Melhoramento Vegetal, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Melhoramento genético de espécies de propagação vegetativa, Genética quantitativa, Experimentação e Análises estatísticas.
