I also worked in a research group for over 4 years (2009-2013) and investigated the areas of virtual and augmented reality, advanced interfaces, human-computer interaction, software development, among others. Currently I work as project manager at CI&T. While undergraduate, I investigated many methodological models in design and proposed my own classification model (ontology) in order to build a design methodology digital database. As for my MSc, I investigated several problem exploration methods (usually the first steps executed within conceptual design) and tested the impact of applying such methods during the design process. Finally, during my PhD I researched aspects of design cognition (inspiration; fixation) and creation (idea generation; problem-solving). I performed several experiments to reveal the influence of different inspiration sources in design and to expose flaws in the empirical method used to study design creativity. My main topics of interest are design processes and methods, human cognition and creativity, interfaces and interaction, user experience, and research methodology and critique.
