Caroline Loss

Caroline Loss recebeu, com Láurea Acadêmica, o grau de Tecnóloga em Moda e Estilo pela Universidade de Caxias do Sul, Brasil, em 2009. Em 2010 mudou-se para Portugal, onde recebeu, com qualificação Excelente, o grau de Mestre em Design de Universidade da Beira Interior, em 2012. Atualmente é doutoranda de Engenharia Têxtil na Universidade da Beira Interior, bolsista da CAPES (processo n. 9371/13-3) onde também é pesquisadora na unidade de pesquisas FiBenTech e no Instituto de Telecomunicações - Aveiro. Trabalha no desenvolvimento de antenas flexíveis de banda larga e sua integração, de forma pouco intrusivo, em vestuário, integrando redes de sensores sem fio. O foco de sua pesquisa é a caracterização eletromagnética de materiais têxteis, desenvolvimento e caracterização de antenas flexíveis, análise da interação da antena com o corpo humano e a sua integração em vestuário.

Caroline Loss received in 2009, with honour, the Bachelor Degree in Technology in Fashion and Style at the University of Caxias do Sul, Brazil. In 2010 moved to Portugal, where in 2012, she received the Master Degree in Fashion Design at the University of Beira Interior, with the classification of excellent. Currently is a PhD. student of Textile Engineering, with fellowship by CAPES Foundation (process no 9371/13-3), at the University of Beira Interior, where she is also a researcher assistant at the FiBenTech Research Unit and at Instituto de Telecomunicações - Aveiro. The focus of her research is the wearable antennas, including the electromagnetic characterization of the textile materials, development of the textile antennas for on-body communication and your integration in clothing.
