Italo de Oliveira Santos

Doutorando em Informática e Computação na Northern Arizona University, USA. Mestre em Ciências da Computação e Matemática Computacional, na linha de pesquisa de Engenharia de Software e Sistemas de Informação, do Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC) da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). É bacharel em Sistemas e Mídias Digitais e recebeu o título Magna Cum Laude" pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2017), é técnico em Redes de Computadores pelo Instituto Federal de Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará (2014). Participou de diversos projetos de pesquisa (Monitorias e Iniciação Científica) e extensão (Empresa Júnior) durante a graduação (2014/2017). Possui experiência na Indústria com Gerência de Projetos, Desenvolvimento de Aplicações Web e Qualidade de Software com ênfase em Teste de Software (2015/2020). Atuou como Quality Assurance Analyst em empresas de grande e médio porte auxiliando clientes nacionais e internacionais, executando teste de software manual e automatizado. Atua como revisor de periódico da revista sistemas e mídias digitais (RSMD) e revisor de conferências e workshops nacionais (SBES, SBCARS, SAST, ENCOINFO, WASHES, SBCARS, SAST, Latin.Science, WLIC, CIMATech) e internacionais (MSR, SANER, CLEI, EATIS, SIGCSE, CompEd). Tem sido colaborador na organização de eventos nacionais e internacionais, bem como membro de comitês de programa de várias conferências e workshops (SESoS/WDES, WASHES, EATIS, SIGCSE, WLIC, Latin.Science). Atua como representante da Faculdade de Engenharia, Informática e Ciências Aplicadas da NAU no governo estudantil de pós-graduação (2022/2023). Participa como membro voluntario do Fronteiras da Engenharia de Software podcast, sendo uma iniciativa de divulgação cientifica para refletir sobre o presente e o futuro da engenharia de software no Brasil. Atua como Teaching Assistant na Northern Arizona University fornecendo orientação a diferentes equipes de projeto para orientá-los ao longo de seu projeto final de conclusão de curso, desde o planejamento, análise de requisitos até a fase de implementação e teste do projeto (2022/2023). Atuou como pesquisador do Laboratório de Engenharia de Software (LABES) no (ICMC/USP), onde desenvolveu sua pesquisa financiada pela Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). É membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (SBC), da Association for Computing Machinery - ACM e da IEEE Computer Society Technical Council on Software Engineering - TCSE. Ítalo is a Doctoral Student in Informatics and Computing at Northern Arizona University, USA. Master in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics, in the research line of Software Engineering and Information Systems, from the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC) of the University of São Paulo (USP). He holds a bachelor's degree in Digital Systems and Media and received the title ''Magna Cum Laude" from the Federal University of Ceará (2017), is a technician in Computer Networks from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Ceará (2014). Participated in several research projects (Monitoring and Scientific Initiation) and extension (Junior Company) during graduation (2014/2017). Has experience in Industry with Project Management, Web Application Development and Software Quality with emphasis on Software Testing (2015/2020). Worked as Quality Assurance Analyst in large and medium-sized companies assisting national and international clients, performing manual and automated software testing. He is reviewer for Systems and Digital Media journal and reviewer of national (SBES, SBCARS, SAST, ENCOINFO, WASHES, SBCARS, SAST, Latin.Science, WLIC, CIMATech) and international (MSR, SANER, CLEI, EATIS, SIGCSE, CompEd). He has been a contributor to the organization of national and international events, as well as a member of program committees for various conferences and workshops (SESoS/WDES, WASHES, EATIS, SIGCSE, WLIC, Latin.Science). He serves as the representative of NAU's Faculty of Engineering, Informatics and Applied Sciences in the graduate student government (2022/2023). He participates as a volunteer member of Fronteiras da Engenharia de Software podcast, being a scientific dissemination initiative to reflect on the present and future of software engineering in Brazil. He works as a Teaching Assistant at Northern Arizona University providing guidance to different project teams to guide them through their final graduation project, from planning, requirements analysis to the implementation and testing phase of the project (2022/2023 ). He worked as a researcher at the Software Engineering Laboratory (LABES) at (ICMC / USP), where he developed his research funded by the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP).
