Francisco Carlos Gomes

Graduado em Engenharia Agrícola pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (1988), mestrado em Engenharia Civil (Engenharia de Estruturas) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1994) e doutorado em Engenharia Civil (Engenharia de Estruturas) pela Universidade de São Paulo (2000). Atualmente é professor Titular da Universidade Federal de Lavras. Tem experiência na área de Construções e Ambiência e em Mecânica das Estruturas, atuando principalmente nas seguintes linhas de pesquisa: modelagem em sistemas estruturais, propriedades físicas dos produtos sólidos armazenados, estruturas de armazenamento, estruturas metálicas e de madeira e construções sustentáveis. Desenvolve pesquisas na área de Engenharia Sustentável com ênfase em smart homes e green buildings. É professor do programa de pós graduação em Engenharia Agrícola na UFLA e colaborador no programa de pós graduação em Engenharia de Biossistemas na Universidade de Lèon - Espanha. Como representante da UFLA, foi conselheiro do CREA-MG, sendo coordenador da comissão de Ética Profissional e membro da Comissão de Ensino e Avaliação Profissional. Atualmente participa da Comissão de Estudos ABNT/CE-203:020.001 para elaboração da Norma Brasileira de Silos. Coordena o Laboratório de Propriedades Físicas e de Fluxo dos produtos Armazenados CPPPA/UFLA.

Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (1988), master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from the University of São Paulo (1994) and a doctorate in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from the University of São Paulo (2000). Full Professor at the Federal University of Lavras with experience in Agricultural Engineering in the area of ​​Constructions and Ambience and in Civil Engineering in Structural Mechanics, acting mainly in the following lines of research: modeling in structural systems, physical properties of stored solid products, storage structures, metal and wooden structures and sustainable buildings. Develops research in the area of ​​Sustainable Engineering with an emphasis on smart homes and green buildings. Professor in the postgraduate program in Agricultural Engineering at UFLA and collaborator in the postgraduate program in Biosystems Engineering at the University of Lèon-Spain. Coordinates the postgraduate course (lato sensu) in Management and Innovations in Construction. As a representative of the university, was an advisor to CREA-MG, coordinating the Professional Ethics committee and a member of the Teaching and Professional Evaluation Committee. Currently participates in the Study Committee ABNT / CE-203: 020.001 for the elaboration of the Silos Brazilian Code. Coordinates the Laboratory of Physical Properties and Flow of Stored Products CPPPA / UFLA, which through agreements, develops technologies involving actions and safety in structures and the work environment in the agro-industrial sector.
