Vera Lúcia Luiza

Vera Lucia Luiza is a pharmacist and completed her doctorate in Public Health at the Sergio Arouca National School of Public Health - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in 2003. She acted as visiting scholar at Harvard University in 2009. She is currently retired, but she continues working as a volunteer public health researcher at the Department of Medicines Policy and Pharmaceutical Assistance (NAF / ENSP / Fiocruz), a PAHO / WHO Collaborating Center on Pharmaceutical Policies, having been its coordinator in the period 2007-2014. She has published 53 articles in scientific journals and more than 110 papers in events proceedings; she has 29 book chapters and 7 published books and 41 technical production items. She supervised 4 doctoral theses, 37 master's dissertations and 16 specialization monographs. Received 7 awards and / or honors. She has participated or coordinated research projects on topics such as access to medicines, health evaluation, evaluation of pharmaceutical assistance and primary health care, totaling more than 10 research projects and / or technical cooperation with different levels of government in Brazil as well as countries Latin America and Africa. She works in the public health area, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical assistance and medication policy. In her professional activities, she interacted with 146 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works.
