JanKees van der Poel

JanKees van der Poel received B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) at Federal University of Campina Grande (when it still was Federal University of Paraíba, Campus II), having completed a Masters in Biomedical Engineering, Federal University of Federal University of Paraíba in 1999. He is currently doing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in João Pessoa at Federal University of Paraíba since 2006. He is currently a researcher at the Federal University of Paraíba. Published 15 works in annals of events. He has 7 items of technical production. Participated in 8 events in Brazil. He also guided four works on basic scientific research and 5 works of course work completion in the area of Computer Science. Currently he is part of a research project and works in the area of Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Mechanical Control Systems and Automatic Medical Diagnostic, which is the subject of his doctoral thesis. In his professional activities, he collaborated and interacted with over 20 people in co-authorship of scientific papers. In his Lattes Curriculum the most frequently terms in the context of scientific production, technological and artistic and cultural are: Software Engineering, Java, Digital Image Processing, Project Software, electrocardiogram, System for Medical Diagnosis Aid, CBIR, Data compression , Correlation coefficient and Curvature Scale Space.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1995) e mestrado em Engenharia Biomédica pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1999). Atualmente é aluno de programa de doutorado da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Mecânica, com ênfase em Controle de Sistemas Mecânicos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: processamento digital de imagens, engenharia de software, projeto de software, mamografia e java.
