Full Professor at the Federal Center for Professional and Technological Education - CEFET-MG, at Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais state. Researches the social uses of technological artifacts and the diverse understandings about urban space in Minas Gerais at the end of the 19th century and the beggining of the 20th century, Strong attention is given to the way that progress, science and technique are represented in printed speech, specially in newspapers and periodical magazines.

Professor Titular de História no Centro Federal de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica - CEFET-MG, atuando em Belo Horizonte. Pesquisa os usos sociais dos artefatos tecnológicos e as diferentes compreensões sobre o espaço urbano em Minas Gerais, no final do século XIX e início do século XX, enfocando as representações da ciência e da técnica nos discursos letrados impressos, especialmente jornais e revistas periódicas.
