Eliana Ribeiro Ambrosio

Artista gravadora, realiza trabalhos principalmente em Xilogravura e Gravura em metal. Possui Especialização em Conservação e Restauro pelo CECOR/UFMG, além de Mestrado e Doutorado em História da Arte pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Desde 2008, é professora efetiva do Departamento de Artes Plásticas da Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Ministra aulas de Xilogravura e Ateliê de Gravura, orientando alunos nesta área. Foi coordenadora do Curso de Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais de 2012 a 2016 e atualmente realiza pesquisas sobre o Processo Criativo e sobre a Gravura no Campo Expandido, unindo a tradição da gravura com meios digitais, livro de artista e instalações. Tem experiência na área de Artes, Conservação-Restauração de Bens Culturais e Museus, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Gravura, Artes Plásticas, Arte Moderna e Contemporânea, Patrimônio Cultural, Preservação e Conservação-restauração.

Printmaking artist, who works mainly in woodcut and metal engraving. She has a Specialization in Conservation and Restoration from CECOR/UFMG, as well as a Master's and Doctorate in Art History from the State University of Campinas. Since 2008, she has been a professor at the Fine Arts Department at the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She teaches woodcut and engraving workshop, guiding students in this area. She was coordinator of the Visual Arts Course at the Federal University of Minas Gerais from 2012 to 2016 and currently carries out research on the Creative Process and on Engraving in the Expanded Field, uniting the tradition of engraving with digital media, artist's book and installations. She has experience in the field of Arts, Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Assets and Museums, working mainly on the following subjects: Engraving, Fine Arts, Modern and Contemporary Art, Cultural Heritage, Preservation and Conservation-restoration.
