Maria Coleta Ferreira Albino de Oliveira

Bacharel em Ciências Políticas e Sociais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1968), Mestre em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade de São Paulo (1970), Doutora em Ciências Humanas Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1981) e Livre Docente em Demografia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2011). Atualmente é professora Associada II da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Departamento de Demografia/IFCH) e pesquisadora do Núcleo de Estudos de População "Elza Berquó" (NEPO/UNICAMP). É membro do Foi Presidente do Comitê Diretivo Provisório da Associação Latinoamericana de População/ALAP, quando de sua fundação e instalação, entre 2003 e 2004. Desempenhou outras funções como membro do Conselho Consultivo da Associação e do Comitê Editorial da Revista Latinoamericana de Población, publicada pela ALAP. É membro-fundador da Associação Brasileira de Estudos Populacionais/ABEP, onde desempenhou, entre outras, as funções de Tesoureira (1977-1978), Vice-Presidente (1987-1988) e Presidente (2003-2004). É também membro da International Union for the Scientific Study of Population/IUSSP, tendo feito parte de seu órgão diretivo superior - o IUSSP Council - no período de 2006 a 2009 e de seu Committee on Reproductive Health entre 1995 a 2000. Fez parte do Scientific and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) do Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction da Organização Mundial da Saúde entre 1990 e 1995. Entre 2005 e 2007 foi Coordenadora da Área de Planejamento Urbano-Regional e Demografia da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior/CAPES e entre 2002 e 2003 representou a subárea de Demografia no Comitê de assessoramento em Ciências Sociais Aplicadas do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico/CNPq. De 2007-2011 foi chefe do Departamento de Demografia do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas/IFCH-UNICAMP, cargo que exerceu também por um curto período em 2013. Entre 1994 e 1998 coordenou o Núcleo de Estudos de População/NEPO, integrando em diversos períodos seu Conselho Técnico-Científico e o Conselho Superior. Colabora como Consultora Ad-Hoc do CNPq, CAPES e FAPESP.Demógrafa por opção, trabalha especialmente com os seguintes temas: Família e gênero, reprodução e fecundidade.

Social Scientist and Demographer. Master in Social Sciences (University of São Paulo-USP, Brazil, 1972), Doctorate in Social Sciences (University of São Paulo - USP, Brazil, 1981) and Professor of Demography, State University of Campinas (2011). She is currently Associate Professor II at the State University of Campinas (Department of Demography / IFCH) and researcher at the Center for Population Studies "Elza Berquó" (NEPO / UNICAMP). She is a member of the Latin American Population Association / ALAP, where she has served as Chairman of the Interim Steering Committee, in charge of the institutional organization of ALAP (2003-04), she has served as a member of the ALAP?s Advisory Council and, at this moment, she is a mamber of the Editorial Committe of the journal Revista Latinoamericada de Población,Dr. Oliveira is a founding member of the Brazilian Association for Population Studies / ABEP, where she has served as Treasurer (1977-1978), Vice-President (1987-1988) and President (2003-2004). She is also a member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population / IUSSP, having been part of the IUSSP Council from 2006 to 2009 and of its Committee on Reproductive Health from 1995 to 2000. She has also acted as member of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) of the Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction of the World Health Organization (1990-1995). Between 2005 and 2007 she has chaired the Urban-Regional Planning and Demography Area of CAPES, the Brazilian governmental agency in charge of evaluating higher education and, between 2002 and 2003, acted as representative of Demography at the Applied Social Sciences Committee at the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development/CNPq. From 2007-2011 she chaired the Department of Demography at the Institute of Philosophy and Humanities / IFCH-UNICAMP, a position she also held for a short period in 2013. Between 1994 and 1998 she coordinated the Center for Population Studies / NEPO. Dr. Oliveira acts also as Ad Hoc Consultant for CNPq, CAPES and FAPESP. She teaches and conducts research on Population, especially on family, gender, reproduction and fertility.
