João Nunes de Araujo Neto

Doutor em Matemática pela Universidade de São Paulo - USP, Mestre em Matemática pela Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC e Licenciado em Matemática pela Universidade Regional do Cariri - URCA. Atualmente, professor do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará, atuando nos cursos de bacharelado em Engenharia Elétrica e Sistemas de Informação, além de atuar na formação inicial de professores de matemática e física nos cursos de Licenciatura. Meus interesses de pesquisa abrangem tópicos como Análise Geométrica, Matemática Aplicada, Modelagem Matemática, Tendências na Educação Matemática e Formação inicial e continuada de professores de Matemática. Membro do Grupo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisa em Ensino e Aprendizagem junto ao CNPq e certificado pelo IFCE. Desempenha diversas atividades, como Coordenador da linha de pesquisa Práticas de Ensino e Aprendizagem em Ciências e Matemática na Educação Básica, Técnica e Tecnológica, Docente Orientador Voluntário do Programa Residência Pedagógica - PRP, membro do Núcleo Docente Estruturante (NDE) dos cursos de bacharelado em Sistemas de Informação e Licenciatura em Matemática e colegiado do curso de bacharelado em Engenharia Elétrica.

I am a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of São Paulo - USP, with a Master's degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Regional University of Cariri - URCA. Currently, I am a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará. I teach in the undergraduate programs of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, and I also work in the initial teacher training programs for mathematics and physics in the undergraduate courses. My research interests encompass topics such as Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling, Trends in Mathematics Education, and Initial and Continuing Teacher Education in Mathematics. I am also a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Group in Teaching and Learning, affiliated with CNPq, and certified by the IFCE. I undertake various activities, such as coordinating the research line of Teaching and Learning Practices in Science and Mathematics in Basic, Technical, and Technological Education, serving as a Faculty Advisor for the Pedagogical Residence Program - PRP, being a member of the Teaching Structure Committee (NDE) for the undergraduate courses in Information Systems and Mathematics Education, and being a part of the board of the Electrical Engineering undergraduate program.
