Iara Aparecida Beleli

Graduated in History from the State University of Campinas (1983), Master in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1999) and PhD in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas (2005). Researcher B of the Center for Gender Studies - Pagu since 2010. From 2019 she started to work as a full professor of the multimedia postgraduate program at the Institute of Arts - Department of Multimedia. She is a member of the Network of Researchers on the Appropriation of Technologies and is a member of the Research Center on Differences, Human Rights and Health. Her reflections are focused on the convergence of the various media crossed by the gender perspective in articulation with other categories of difference. In the last five years, she has dedicated herself to research on the extreme right and hate speech, analyzed from feminist and gender theories.

Possui graduação em historia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1983), mestrado em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1999) e doutorado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2005). Pesquisadora B do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero - Pagu desde 2010. A partir de 2019 começou a atuar como professora plena da pós-graduação multimeios do Instituto de Artes - Departamento de Multimeios. Integra a Red de Investigadores sobre Apropiación de Tecnologías e é membro do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Diferenças, Direitos Humanos e Saúde. Suas reflexões estão voltadas para a convergência das variadas mídias atravessada pela perspectiva de gênero em articulação com outras categorias de diferença. Nos últimos cinco anos tem se dedicado à pesquisa sobre a extrema-direita e discursos de ódio, analisados a partir das teorias feministas e de gênero.
