Airton Ribeiro da Silva Junior

Airton Ribeiro (1991) is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki. He holds a doctorate in Legal History from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy (2018) and received his Master's in Law from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil (2015). He had been a postdoc researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, Germany (2020), and had worked as a lecturer in Legal History and Legal Theory at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil (2021). His research topics are history of colonial law, history of legal literature, book history, history of legal education, and history of international law.

Doutorado em 'Teoria e storia del diritto' pela Università degli Studi di Firenze, sob a orientação do Prof. Paolo Cappellini. Mestrado em Direito e Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, sob orientação do Prof. Arno Dal RI Jr., PhD. Bacharel em Direito pela Universidade Franciscana. Membro dos grupos Ius Commune UFSC/CNPq de História da Cultura Jurídicae Ius Gentium UFSC/CNPQ de Direito Internacional. Tem interesse em história do direito internacional, história do direito colonial, história do direito nas Américas. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisa, iniciada como investigação pós-doutoral no Max-Planck-Institut für Rechtsgeschichte und Rechtstheorie, sobre circulação da literatura jurídica no Império Português .
