Marcos Oliveira de Carvalho

Architect, master and doctor in Urban Planning by the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture of the Federal University of Bahia with an emphasis on planning and communication. Adjunct professor at the Faculty of Communication of the Federal University of Bahia, he has professional experience in the field of Arts and Communication, with an emphasis on cinematographic and audiovisual production. Musician, composer and filmmaker, he is responsible for the editing and production of feature films such as Trampolim do Forte (2010), Filhos de João - O Admirável Mundo Novo Baiano (2011), Cuíca de Santo Amaro (2012), Café, Pépi e Limão (2022), and also produced and edited the children?s seasons Francisco Só Quer Jogar Bola (2020). In the area of ​​research and extension, it articulates reflections and actions in the areas of communication and the right to the city, guiding and coordinating related projects and producing on the subject, such as the organization of the book Urban Claims and the Right to the City (UCL Press, 2020).

Arquiteto, mestre e doutor em Planejamento Urbano pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade Federal da Bahia com ênfase em planejamento e comunicação. Docente adjunto da Faculdade de Comunicação da Universidade Federal da Bahia, tem experiência profissional na área de Artes e Comunicação, com ênfase em produção cinematográfica e audiovisual. Músico, compositor e cineasta, assina a montagem e produção de longas-metragens como Trampolim do Forte (2010), Filhos de João - O Admirável Mundo Novo Baiano (2011), Cuíca de Santo Amaro (2012), Café, Pépi e Limão (2022), e também produziu e montou a série infantil Francisco Só Quer Jogar Bola (2020). Na pesquisa e na extensão articula reflexões e ações nas áreas da comunicação e do direito à cidade, orientando e coordenando projetos correlatos e produzindo sobre o tema como a organização do livro Urban Claims and the Right to the City (UCL Press, 2020).
