Dickson de Oliveira Tavares

Dickson de Oliveira Tavares, Brazilian, born in the city of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, is, by vocation, a designer and researcher on pop culture, with an emphasis on the universe of Comics; by training he is a designer and journalist. PhD student at the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies - PPGEM, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2020-). Master by the Postgraduate Program in Media Studies - PPGEM, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2017). Specialist in Advertising and Marketing in Brand Management at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2014), Bachelor in Journalism at the Social Communication Course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2012) and graduated in Art Education with Qualification in Drawing by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2003). He was co-author of the laboratory newspaper O Periódico do Curso de Jornalismo, of the Social Communication Course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (2010). He worked as an illustrator, cartoonist, web designer, finalist in the Natal advertising market between 1999 and 2008. He held the position of Art-educator as a public servant, integrating the multidisciplinary team of social educators of the Municipal Secretary of Labor and Social Assistance - SEMTAS, in the city of Natal / RN, from 2007 to 2010. Still as a civil servant, he was assigned to the Regional Electoral Court of Rio Grande do Norte, acting as a designer in the Publishing and Publications Section, from 2009 to 2010 His current position, since 2010, is that of a civil servant, of the effective staff, in the position of Visual Programmer at the Secretariat of Distance Education - SEDIS, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN.

UFRN (2012) e licenciado em Educação Artística com Habilitação em Desenho pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte ? UFRN (2003). Seu vínculo atual, desde 2010, é de servidor público, do quadro efetivo, no cargo de Programador Visual na Secretaria de Educação a Distância ? SEDIS, na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte ? UFRN.
