Miriam Lange Guerra
Atualmente é Mestra pela Universidade de Jaén/ Espanha e licenciada pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho no curso de Letras - Licenciatura Plena Português . Atua no campo da performance e aquisição do inglés como lingua exrangeira, especificamente através de instrumentos audiovisuais e teatro, nos seguintes temas: inglés pós-colonial, feminismo, gênero, produção de subjetividade, imigração e consciencia mestiça. Realizou residência artìstica associação CRA'P (Pràctiques de Creació i Recerca Artística) em Barcelona, culminando na performance "Cuento de Venganza" com o apoio da mesma.
Nowadays, she holds a Master Degree in Advanced English Studies, also works as an English Language Teacher, drama performer and researcher in the field of Sociolinguistics at the Autonoma University of Barcelona. She is an active member of the migrant community and also afro Latin community. Her research field is in critical applied English Language teaching, based on critical applied linguistics intersectional with gender and immigration otherness and its potential use as a resource in the multiliteracies approach to pedagogy in its practical use in classrooms. The aim is to investigate if and how this methodology influences the discourse produced by the participants during the language process acquisition. In how far does the aforementioned strategy of teaching impacts the local language use context and in how far does it mean to empower minorities thorough language during the learning process acquisition of English. Moreover, to demonstrate the power relations in the local languages and the possibilities of transcendence towards ?mestiza continuousness? ( Borderlands/ La Frontera 1987), which agencies and produces resistance in the discourse.
