Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry - hab. Industry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1986), Master's in Chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1993) and PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1999). She is currently Full Professor at the University of Brasilia, where she also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Scientific Initiation Program (PROIC). She is Editor-in-Chief on Infarma - Ciências Farmacêuticas and Associate Editor on Frontiers in Pharmacology - Section Ethnopharmacology. Has experience in Pharmacy, with emphasis on Pharmacognosy, working mainly on the following topics: phytochemistry, ethnopharmacology and regulatory issues related to herbal medicines.
Possui graduação em Farmácia e Bioquímica - hab. É Editora-Chefe de Infarma - Ciências Farmacêuticas e Editora Associada de Frontiers in Pharmacology - Section Ethnopharmacology. Tem experiência na área de Farmácia, com ênfase em Farmacognosia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: fitoquimica, etnofarmacologia e assuntos regulatórios relacionados a fitoterápicos
