He is an Agricultural Engineering graduated by Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He concluded his course of Master Science in 2000 by School of Agronomic Sciences (FCA) of UNESP (São Paulo State University) ? Campus of Jaboticabal and PhD in 2004 by UFLA, both in Entomology. He has been a research scientist in Forest Entomology at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, EMBRAPA Forestry since 2007. He has published 53 papers in scientific journals, 1 book and 11 books chapters. He has experience in Agronomy and Forestry, acting on the following subjects: Biological Control and Pest Management of Forest Pests, Eucalyptus and Invasive Forest Pests.
Possui graduação em Agronomia pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (1997), mestrado em Agronomia (Entomologia Agrícola) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000) e doutorado em Agronomia (Entomologia) pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (2004). Atualmente é Pesquisador A da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária - Embrapa. Tem experiência na área de Agronomia, com ênfase em Entomologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Controle Biológico e Manejo Integrado de Pragas Florestais.
