Fernando dos Santos Almeida

Design PhD with exchange period at the University of California, Los Angeles (CAPES - PrInt 2019/2020) and graduating student in Biology Pedagody at State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). I have a Masters in Design and Society from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, 2015, and a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design from UFSC, 2012. Currently I have a scholarship from the Brazilian government (CAPES) and I am an active researcher in the groups "Center for Studies and Developments in Knowledge and Consciousness" (NEDeCC), "Brand Meaning, Information and Organizational Communication" (SIGMO) and "Complexity and Cognition Center" (NUCOG). I was a research fellow of the Brazilian Scientific Initiation Program, representative and coordinator of the National Council of Design Students, grad students' advocate and CAPES researcher at LINC Design (PUC-Rio). I work specifically with Communication Design and popularization of science. I have an affinity with the studies of Language, Society and Culture.

Doutor em Design com intercâmbio à University of California, Los Angeles (CAPES - PrInt 2019/2020) e licenciando em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro. Mestre em Design e Sociedade pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2015), bacharel em Design Gráfico pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2012), e pesquisador atuante no Núcleo de Estudos e Desenvolvimentos em Conhecimento e Consciência (NEDeCC), no Núcleo de Complexidade e Cognição (NUCOG) e no Significação da Marca, Informação e Comunicação Organizacional (SIGMO). Foi bolsista PIBIC, representante e coordenador do Conselho Nacional de Estudantes de Design, representante discente do Pós Design PUC-Rio e pesquisador bolsista CAPES do LINC Design (PUC-Rio). Atua especificamente com Design de Comunicação e popularização da ciência. Possui afinidade com os estudos da Linguagem, Sociedade e Cultura.
