Julio Guerra Segura

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from the 'Escuela Politécnica del Ejército' (Ecuador, 2009), a Master's degree (2012), and a Ph.D. (2016) in Animal Science from the University of São Paulo, Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA - USP). He also has an MBA in Digital Business (2023) from ESALQ-USP. He has experience as a university professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the Central University of Ecuador and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of the Americas (Ecuador), teaching subjects such as aquaculture, aquaculture production, among others. Since 2022, he has been working as a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. His main research areas include metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids, animal nutrition, development of ingredients for animal feed, feed formulation, and sustainability in animal production. Possui graduação em Engenharia Agropecuária pela 'Escuela Politécnica del Ejército' (Equador, 2009), Mestrado (2012) e Doutorado (2016) em Zootecnia pela Universidade de São Paulo, Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos (FZEA - USP), MBA em Digital Business (2023) pela ESALQ-USP. Experiência como professor universitário na Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia da Universidad Central del Ecuador e na Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia da Universidad de las Américas (Ecuador), com as matérias de aquicultura, produção aquícola entre outras. Atua como Professor Visitante na Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul desde 2022. As principais linhas de pesquisa são metabolismo de ácidos graxos poliinsaturados, nutrição animal, formulação de rações, desenvolvimento de ingredientes para alimentação animal, sustentabilidade na produção animal.
