Evandro Carlos Nicolau

Doctor in Aesthetics and History of Art by the Interunidades Program in Aesthetics and History of Art of the University of São Paulo with the research Drawings of the Landscape: perception, memory and imagination. Master's degree in the Interunit program in Aesthetics and Art History at the University of São Paulo. The result of this research is the work DRAWING, THINKING, EXPRESSING AND LANGUAGE (2010). On the occasion of the Doctorate he did an academic internship in the Art Space + Nature postgraduate program at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Educator of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (since 2004), between 2010 and 2015 he was Head of the Scientific and Technical Division of Education and Art at MAC USP. Professor at the undergraduate level in the Interdisciplinary Degree in Labor Sciences at the DIEESE School of Labor Sciences, where he teaches classes on art and cultural training, in the scope of interdisciplinary research related to the theme Work. Author of the book Philosophy by Design or a book without quotes, published by Editora Com Arte. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts Education from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003). He has experience in arts, with emphasis on artistic education, exhibitions curation and cultural production, working mainly in the following subjects: drawing, museum education, interdisciplinarity, media, new technologies, education, environment, ecology and arts. It maintains an artistic work in the areas of visual arts, music, audiovisual and literature. He produces and curates exhibitions, besides writing and publishing theoretical essays on contemporary visual art, works with interdisciplinary contexts in the field of art, work sciences, environment and ecology.

Professor, pesquisador e artista. Pós-Doutorado no Instituto de Artes da Universidade Estadual Paulista - IA Unesp, com a Pesquisa Solstícios e Equinócios, movimentos elípticos na arte contemporânea pós pandemia. Doutor e Mestre pelo Programa de Pós-graduaçāo em Estetica e História da Arte da Universidade de São Paulo - PGEHA USP. É o atual coordenador da Área de Educação e Arte do Museu de Arte Contemporânea da USP. Professor no Bacharelado Interdisciplinar em Ciências do Trabalho na Escola DIEESE de Ciências do Trabalho, onde ministra aulas sobre arte e formação cultural, no âmbito da pesquisa interdisciplinar relacionada ao tema Trabalho. Professor de Desenho Documental na École Intuit Lab - Instituto Francês de Design, Digital e Estratégia. Autor do livro A Filosofia pelo Desenho ou um livro sem citações, lançado pela Editora Com Arte. Graduado em Licenciatura Plena em Educação Artística pelo IA Unesp. Trabalha com contextos inter e trans disciplinares atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: desenho, educação em museus, mídia, novas tecnologias, educação, meio ambiente, ecologia e arte contemporânea. Mantém um trabalho artístico nas áreas de artes visuais, música, audiovisual e literatura. Produz e faz curadoria de exposições, além de escrever e publicar ensaios teóricos sobre arte visual contemporânea.
