Alex Álvares da Silva

Agronomist graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and L'Institut Agro Dijon Dijon, France. Specialist in Geoprocessing and Georeferencing, Master in Plant Science and PhD student in Agronomy / Plant Science at the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA) in the tropical agriculture area. He is currently developing research in the area of plant stress, notably soil salinity and irrigation water, water deficit and irrigation management. Recently accepted by the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), Argentina, where will develop research on antioxidant enzymes in response to saline stress and grafting.

Engenheiro Agrônomo formado pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) e L'Institut Agro Dijon de Dijon na França. Especialista em Geoprocessamento e Georreferenciamento, Mestre em Fitotecnia e doutorando em Agronomia/Fitotecnia na Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA) na área agricultura tropical. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisas da área de estresse abiótico de plantas, notadamente salinidade do solo e água de irrigação, déficit hídrico e manejo de irrigação. Recentemente aceito pela Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), Argentina, onde desenvolverá pesquisa com enzimas antioxidantes em resposta ao estresse salino e enxertia.
