Doctor in Education from the Graduate Program in Education, Contemporary Contexts and Popular Demands (PPGEduc) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro and Master in Education also from PPGEduc/UFRRJ (2013). He has a Specialization in Pedagogical Sciences from Faculdade Béthencourt da Silva (2003) and a Teaching of Higher Education from Instituto Superior de Estudos Pedagógicos (2002). Graduated in Pedagogical Training, with specialization in Mathematics, from the Augusto Motta University Center (2001) and in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Qualification, from the Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca (1991). Member of the Board of the Bulletin of the Study and Research Group in Mathematics Education (GEPEM). Reviewer of the GEPEM Bulletin. Leader of the Study and Research Group on Technologies in Engineering and Mathematics Education (GEPETEEM). It works with articulation between engineering training and Mathematics Education, mediated by the help of technologies, including digital ones, with elements of everyday life, investigating multinumeration practices. Coordinator of the GT-6 of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (2019-2021). He is currently a professor at the Cândido Mendes University (UCAM).

Membro da Diretoria do Boletim do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação Matemática (GEPEM). Revisor do Boletim GEPEM. Líder do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas das Tecnologias em Engenharias e Educação Matemática (GEPETEEM), de junho/2020 a fevereiro/2021. Atua com articulação entre a formação em engenharia e a Educação Matemática, mediada pelo auxílio de tecnologias, inclusive as digitais, com elementos do cotidiano, investigando práticas de multinumeramento. Coordenador do GT-6 da Sociedade Brasileira de Educação Matemática (2019-2021). Atualmente é professor da Universidade Cândido Mendes (UCAM).
