Graduated in Licentiate (2001) and Bachelor (2002) in Chemistry, Masters (2004) and PhD (2008) in the area of concentration in Inorganic Chemistry by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Post-Doctorate in Crystal Engineering by the University of Limerick - Ireland (2014-2015). Head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of the UFC in the 2012-2013 biennium, where he is currently Associate Professor IV. Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences since 2019. He has experience in the field of Chemistry, with emphasis on Inorganic Chemistry, working mainly in the following subjects: Chemistry of materials, condensed state physics, dielectric and magnetic properties, biomaterials and nanomaterials.

Foi Chefe do Departamento de Química Analítica e Físico-Química da UFC no biênio de 2012-2013, onde atualmente é Professor Associado IV. Membro Afiliado da Academia Brasileira de Ciências desde 2019. Tem experiência na área de Química, com ênfase em Química Inorgânica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Química de materiais, física do estado condensado, propriedades dielétricas e magnéticas, biomateriais e nanomateriais.
