Paula Cristina Somenzari Almozara

Paula Cristina Somenzari Almozara is a visual artist, researcher, and professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, works at the Faculty of Visual Arts and the Postgraduate Program in Languages, Media, and Art. She has a CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship - level 2. Postdoctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, under the supervision of Graciela Machado, with a scholarship by FAPESP (Process: 21/13582-4). She worked as a Visiting Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, at the School of Administration, Communication and Tourism (EsACT), Mirandela campus, from Feb/2022 to June/2022. From 2016 to 2018, she was the Coordinator of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Languages, Media, and Art-Master. From 2014-2018 she was the Coordinator of the Research and Extension Center of the Language and Communication Center at PUC-Campinas. She developed a research project entitled "Path and memory: the fragmented landscape" with Research Grant - Regular from FAPESP, in the total amount of 163,480.54 (Process: 17/17112-7) from 2018 to 2019, configuring the implementation of a Production, and Research Laboratory in Contemporary Art at PPG-PUC-Campinas. She carried out a Short-Term Research Internship at the University of Porto, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institute of Research in Arts, Design, and Society, with an activity plan linked to the Fapesp 2017/17112-07 process. Ad Hoc Advisor at Fapesp since 2010. Member of the National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts Board of Directors - ANPAP (1st Secretary) for the 2017-2018 biennium. Since 2017 she has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the CSO-Congresso Sobre Obras Obras of the Faculty of Fine Arts and CIEBA of the University of Lisbon; She is also a member of the Scientific Editorial Committee of the Revista Estúdio, Gama and Croma of the FBA of the University of Lisbon. She was the Coordinator of the International Degree Program, Edital Capes 008/2012, of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts at PUC-Campinas / Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon, Portugal (Project 066/2012). She worked from 2007 to 2009 as a guest professor of the ART-120 Specialization in Visual Arts course at IA-Unicamp. She completed her Doctorate in Education (Bolsa Capes) in Education, Knowledge, Language, and Art at the State University of Campinas in 2005. and Masters in Visual Arts (Bolsa Fapesp) at Unicamp in 1997, where he developed visual poetic work and research on the history of drawing. It has several publications of artist albums and books, as well as visual arts exhibitions emphasizing graphic procedures, photography, video, and installation. She works in Arts with Contemporary Visual Poetics. Paula Cristina Somenzari Almozara é artista visual, pesquisadora e professora em regime de dedicação exclusiva 40h na Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, atua na Faculdade de Artes Visuais e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Linguagens, Mídia e Arte. É bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa CNPq - nível 2. Realizou Pós-Doutorado no i2ADS, na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, sob supervisão da Profa. Dra. Graciela Machado, tendo sido contemplada com Bolsa de Pesquisa no Exterior pela Fapesp (2021/13582-4). Atuou como Professora Visitante no Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, na Escola Superior de Administração, Comunicação e Turismo (EsACT), campus Mirandela, no período de fev/2022 a jun/2022. De 2016 a 2018 foi Coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu Linguagens, Mídia e Arte - Mestrado e de 2014-2018 foi Coordenadora do Núcleo de Pesquisa e Extensão do Centro de Linguagem e Comunicação da PUC-Campinas. Desenvolveu projeto de pesquisa intitulado "Percurso e memória: a paisagem fragmentada" com Auxílio à Pesquisa - Regular da FAPESP, no valor integral de 163.480,54 (Processo: 17/17112-7) de 2018 a 2019, configurando a implantação do Laboratório de Produção e Pesquisa em Arte Contemporânea na PUC-Campinas. Realizou Estágio de Pesquisa de Curta Duração na Universidade do Porto, Faculdade de Belas-Artes, Instituto de Investigação em Artes, Design e Sociedade, com plano de atividade ligado ao processo Fapesp 2017/17112-07. Assessora Ad Hoc da Fapesp desde 2010. Membro da Diretoria da Associação Nacional de Pesquisadores em Artes Plásticas - ANPAP (1a. Secretária) para o Biênio 2017-2018. Desde 2017 é membro da Comissão Científica do CSO - Congresso Sobre Outras Obras, da Faculdade de Belas-Artes e CIEBA da Universidade de Lisboa; é também integrante da Comissão Científica Editorial das Revistas Estúdio, Gama e Croma da FBA da Universidade de Lisboa. Foi Coordenadora do Programa de Licenciaturas Internacionais, Edital Capes 008/2012, de Artes Visuais da Faculdade de Artes Visuais da PUC-Campinas/Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal (Projeto 066/2012). Atuou de 2007 a 2009 como professora convidada do curso ART-120 Especialização em Artes Visuais do IA-Unicamp. Concluiu o Doutorado em Educação (Bolsa Capes), na área de Educação, Conhecimento, Linguagem e Arte pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas em 2005. Realizou Mestrado em Artes Visuais (Bolsa Fapesp) pela Unicamp, onde desenvolveu trabalho poético visual e pesquisa sobre a história do desenho. Possui diversas publicações de álbuns e livros de artista e exposições de artes visuais com ênfase em procedimentos gráficos, fotografia, vídeo e instalação. Atua na área de Artes em Poéticas Visuais Contemporâneas.
