Graduated in Dentistry from the University of Uberaba (1989), Master's in Pathology from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro - UFTM (1998) and Ph.D. in Pathology from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2002). Research Productivity Scholarship (CNPq), case number 302926/2015-1. Member of the Chamber of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology of the Research Support Foundation of Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG). Member of the SETEC/MEC and INEP/MEC evaluators group. He currently teaches the contents of General Pathology in the Thematic Nucleus of Aggression, Defense, Adaptation and Illness in the Medicine and Dentistry courses at the University of Uberaba (UNIUBE) where he has been teaching since 1993. Member of the faculty and of two Graduate Programs Strictu sensu : Postgraduate Program in Dentistry/UNIUBE and Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences/UFTM. Effective teacher in the Technical Course in Oral Health at the Professional Education Center ? CEFORES/UFTM. He advises students of Scientific Initiation and PIBIC-JR (UFTM and UNIUBE), Master's (UFTM and UNIUBE) and Doctorate (UFTM). He publishes scientific articles in the areas of Pathology, Immunology, Implantology and Dental Materials. Lines of research: Histopathological analysis in anatomopathological diagnosis/UFTM; Oral Biology/UNIUBE; General Pathological Processes and Infectious and Parasitic Diseases/UFTM; Morphofunctional Assessment and Rehabilitation/ LAREM-UFTM; New Nanostructured and Functional Materials - LNMNF/ UFAL (multi-institutional research group: UFTM, UNIUBE, UFU and UFAL).

Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa (CNPq), desde 2015. Membro da Câmara de Ciências Biológicas e Biotecnologia da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa de Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG). Membro do grupo de avaliadores do SETEC/MEC e do INEP/MEC. Atualmente ministra o conteúdo de Patologia Geral no Núcleo Temático Agressão, Defesa, Adaptação e Doença nos cursos de Medicina e Odontologia da Universidade de Uberaba (UNIUBE) onde exerce função docente desde 1993. Membro do corpo docente de dois Programas de Pós Graduação Strictu sensu: Programa de Pós Graduação em Odontologia/UNIUBE e Programa de Pós Graduação em Ciências da Saúde/UFTM. Docente efetiva no Curso Técnico em Saúde Bucal do Centro de Educação Profissional, CEFORES/UFTM. Orienta alunos de Iniciação Científica e PIBIC-Jr (UFTM e UNIUBE), de Mestrado (UFTM e UNIUBE) e de doutorado (UFTM). Publica artigos científicos nas áreas de Patologia, Imunologia, Implantodontia, Periodontia e Materiais Odontológicos.
