Professor Substituto da graduação em Letras (área Japonês) da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Professor Colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras (Estudos Literários) da UFPR. Realizou Pós-Doutorado (Estudos Literários) na UFPR. Doutor e Mestre em Letras (Estudos Comparados de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa) pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Bacharel em Letras (Português e Japonês) pela mesma instituição. É autor do livro Portugal e o Oriente: Antero de Quental - Camilo Castelo Branco - Eça de Queirós - Pinheiro Chagas (2021) e um dos organizadores das coletâneas: A obra de Eça de Queirós por leitores brasileiros (2015); Estudos Brasileiros na Ásia: língua, literatura e cultura (2017); e Literatura Portuguesa Contemporânea: entre ficções e poéticas (2020). É pesquisador participante dos grupos de pesquisa Diálogos com a Literatura Portuguesa (UFPR), Grupo de Pesquisas em Dramaturgia, Cinema, Literatura e outras Artes - GPDC-LoA (UNESP) e Grupo Eça (USP). Lecionou na Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Coreia do Sul, atuando na graduação em Estudos Brasileiros. Participou do Programa Especial de Língua e Cultura Japonesa na Soka University, Hachioji, Tóquio, Japão. Tem experiência tanto na área de Estudos Literários (Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa e Literatura Japonesa) quanto Linguística Aplicada (ensino de Português como Língua Adicional (PLA) e Língua Japonesa). Suas pesquisas centram-se principalmente nos temas: Oriente e orientalismos nas literaturas de língua portuguesa; literatura comparada; literatura japonesa; alteridade; intertextualidade; e diálogos da literatura com outras artes e outras ciências humanas.

Interested in the following themes: Orientalisms in Portuguese Language Literatures; comparative literature; intertextuality; otherness; dialogues of the literature with other arts and other areas of humanities.
