Possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2001), mestrado em Letras e Linguística pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2004), estágio de doutorado em Linguística na Université de Poitiers (2007) e Doutorado em Letras e Linguística pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2009). Já trabalhou como docente de português para estrangeiros no Programa de Pesquisa, Ensino e Extensão de Português da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Realizou, também, o Pós-doutorado em Letras na UFBA. É professora efetiva da Universidade Federal de Sergipe. Sua área de estudos é a Linguística Aplicada, com ênfase no processo de Ensino e Aprendizagem de Língua Materna e de Língua Estrangeira. Nesse contexto, a sua área de pesquisa está relacionada aos temas leitura e escrita, abordagem comunicativa e abordagem intercultural e diversidade linguística.
She holds a degree in Letters from the Federal University of Bahia (2001), a Masters in Literature and Linguistics from the Federal University of Bahia (2004), a PhD in Linguistic from the University of Poitiers (2007) and a PhD in Linguistics from the Federal University of Bahia (2009). She has worked as a Portuguese teacher for foreigners in the Portuguese Research, Teaching and Extension Program of the Federal University of Bahia. She is currently an effective professor at the Federal University of Sergipe. Her area of study is Applied Linguistics, with emphasis on the teaching and learning process of mother language and foreign language. In this context, her area of research is related to the themes of reading and writing, communicative approach and intercultural approach and linguistic diversity.
