GILMAR EUGENIO MARQUES

Graduate in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1972), Master's Degree in Physycs from Institute of Physics of São Carlos USP (1976) and P h D in Physics from the University of California San Diego (1982). Has experience in General Aspect of Condensed Matter Physics, focusing on Electronic Structure and Properties of Surfaces; Interf. and Particles, acting on the following Subjects: electronic states, Magneto-optical, vibrational, and spin transport properties in quantum dots, heterostructures and Zeeman splitting.

Has BA in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1972), Master in Physics from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos USP (1976) and PhD (P h D In Physics) from University of California San Diego (1982). He is currently Professor at the Federal University of Sao Carlos. Has experience in Condensed Matter Physics, with emphasis on Electronic Structures, Transport and Electrical Properties of Surfaces; Interf. and Particles, Effects of Spin-orbit interaction in spin-polarized electronic states. He works on the following subjects: electronic states, magneto-optical properties, quantum dots, heterostructures, phonons, spin-orbit, transport properties, and effective-mass theory.
