Bacharel em Enfermagem pela Universidade Federal da Bahia, em Psicologia pela Universidade Salgado de Oliveira e licenciada em Letras com Habilitação em Português e Inglês pela Universidade Católica do Salvador. Possui especialização em Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental pelo Capacitar Centro Educacional e em Enfermagem Pediátrica e Neonatal pela Universidade Castelo Branco, mestrado em Patologia Humana pela Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, doutorado em Biotecnologia em Saúde e Medicina Investigativa e pós-doutorado em Saúde Coletiva pela mesma instituição. Foi agraciada com o Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellowship, o que a possibilitou cursar o Program in Clinical
Effectiveness na Harvard School of Public Health. Atualmente, é professora associada I da graduação e da pós-graduação em enfermagem na Universidade Federal da Bahia e vice-líder do Grupo de Estudos sobre a saúde da criança e do adolescente-CRESCER. Realiza pesquisa nas áreas de epidemiologia, saúde mental, saúde da criança e do adolescente com ênfase em violência contra a criança e o adolescente.
Bachelor of Nursing from the Federal University of Bahia, in Psychology from the Universidade Salgado de Oliveira and graduated in Letters with Qualification in Portuguese and English from the Catholic University of Salvador. He has a specialization in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy from the Educational Center and in Pediatric and Neonatal Nursing from the Castelo Branco University, a master's degree in Human Pathology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, a doctorate in Biotechnology in Health and Investigative Medicine and a post-doctorate in Public Health from the same institution. Currently, she is an associate professor I of the undergraduate and graduate courses in nursing at the Federal University of Bahia and vice-leader of the Study Group on the health of children and adolescents-CRESCER. Conducts research in the areas of epidemiology, mental health, child and adolescent health with an emphasis on violence against children and adolescents.
