Alexandre Brandão Nassif

Alexandre Nassif received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, Brazil, in 2002 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada, in 2009. He joined Hydro One (former Ontario Hydro Research), Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2009 as a Protection and Control Planner of the Transmission Division, a position he held between 2009 and 2012. Between 2010 and 2011 he also worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Ryerson University, Toronto, ON, Canada. In 2012 he joined ATCO Electric, Edmonton, AB, Canada, as a Senior Engineer - power quality. He is the incumbent chair of the PES/IAS Chapter of the Northern Canada Section (IEEE).
