Sílvio de Almeida Toledo Neto

Graduated in Letters (Portuguese/Greek) from the University of São Paulo (1992), Master's degree in Philology and Portuguese Language from the University of São Paulo (1996), PhD in Philology and Portuguese Language from the University of São Paulo (2001), post-graduate PhD from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon (in 2004 and 2015) and Habilitation in Philology and Portuguese Language from the University of São Paulo (2022). He is currently Associate Professor (MS-5.1) at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo and Collaborating Professor at the Center for Linguistics at the University of Lisbon (Philology Team). He is a member of the scientific committee of the collection Atlântica - Luzo-brazilian Linguistics, Philolgy, Translation and Interpreting Studies, published by Pisa University Press. Coordinates the research group ETeP - Text Editing in Portuguese, registered with CNPq (http://etep.fflch.usp.br). Coordinates the research group TEMPo - Portuguese Medieval Texts and their Sources: editing and philological studies, registered with CNPq (http://gptempo.fflch.usp.br). Member of NEHiLP - Research Support Center for Etymology and History of the Portuguese Language (http://www.nehilp.org). Editor of the journal Filologia e Linguística Portuguesa (2016-2022). He has experience in the area of Philology, with emphasis on Portuguese Philology, working mainly on the following subjects: Textual Criticism, Paleography, Codicology, Material Bibliography, Diplomatics and History of the Portuguese Language.

Atualmente é Professor Associado na Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo e Professor Colaborador do Centro de Linguística da Universidade de Lisboa (Equipa de Filologia). Editor-chefe da revista Filologia e Linguística Portuguesa (Qualis A3). Coordena o grupo de pesquisa ETeP - Edição de Textos em Português (CNPq: http://etep.fflch.usp.br). Coordena o grupo de pesquisa TeMPo - Textos Medievais Portugueses e suas Fontes: edição e estudos filológicos (CNPq: http://gptempo.fflch.usp.br). Integra o NEHiLP - Núcleo de Apoio à Pesquisa em Etimologia e História da Língua Portuguesa (http://www.nehilp.org). Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Filologia Portuguesa, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Crítica Textual, Paleografia, Codicologia, Bibliografia Material, Diplomática e História da Língua Portuguesa.
