Henrique Rocha Mendonça

Graduado em biomedicina na UFF, fez o mestrado e o doutorado em Neuroimunologia na UFF, com período sanduíche na Virginia Commonwealth University, nos Estados Unidos. Em 2013 ingressou como professor substituto no Campus Macaé da UFRJ, e em 2015 ingressou como professor Adjunto da mesma instituição, onde leciona Histologia, Embriologia e Neurociências. É professor Orientador dos programas de Pós-graduação em: Medicina: Anatomia Patológica; e Multicêntrico em Ciências Fisiológicas. Em 2018 e 2019 foi professor visitante no departamento de Neurofarmacologia da Universitá Degli Studi di Firenze, na Itália. É Vice coordenador do Programa de Extensão Circuito Neural e realiza pesquisas na área de neuroproteção, neuroregeneração e neuroplasticidade, com ênfase na via visual e em malformações do desenvolvimento cortical. É Jovem Cientista do Nosso Estado pela FAPERJ.

In 2013 he joined as a substitute professor at the Macaé Campus of UFRJ, and in 2015 he joined as an Adjunct Professor at the same institution, where he teaches Histology, Embryology and Neurosciences. He is a Supervisor Professor in the Postgraduate programs in: Medicine: Pathological Anatomy; and Multicenter in Physiological Sciences. In 2018 and 2019 he was a visiting professor in the Department of Neuropharmacology at the Universitá Degli Studi di Firenze, Italy. He is Vice Coordinator of the Neural Circuit Extension Program and conducts research in the area of ​​neuroprotection, neuroregeneration and neuroplasticity, with emphasis on the visual pathway and malformations of cortical development. He currently serves as an Eventual Substitute for the coordination of Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies at the UFRJ-Macaé Multidisciplinary Center and is a Young Scientist of Our State by FAPERJ.
