Alexandre Alvarenga de Oliveira Monteiro

Currently works as a researcher at the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Embedded Systems, Florianópolis - SC, where he works in the Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence team. Worked as a fellow at the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Laser Manufacturing and Processing, Joinville - SC, where he was responsible for the remote operability of a robotic vehicle. Master in Automation and Systems Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina. Research Area in Computer Vision. Graduated with the honor award in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He did exchange study from the Science Without Borders program, studying Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Budapest, Hungary. During graduation, he participated in the Academic Center of the course, conducted voluntary research at the UFLA Department of Ecology and monitoring. He was also a FAPEMIG Scientific Initiation Fellow, with the research project: "Mapping the Unit of an Agricultural Culture Using a Wireless Sensor Network". He obtained two passages for Robótica Jr., the junior company of the course. The first as director of Social and Environmental Responsibility. The second, after returning from the exchange, as project advisor. In an extension project, he participated voluntarily in the UFLA team of Projeto Rondon, Itacaiúnas Operations July 2015.

Trabalha atualmente como pesquisador no Instituto SENAI de Inovação em Sistemas Embarcados, Florianópolis - SC, onde atua na equipe de Visão Computacional e Inteligência Artificial. Trabalhou também como bolsista no Instituto SENAI de Inovação em Manufatura e Processamento a Laser, Joinville - SC, onde foi responsável pela operabilidade remota de um veículo robótico. Possui mestrado em Engenharia de Automação e Sistemas pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Área de pesquisa em Visão Computacional. Graduado com o prêmio de honra ao mérito em Engenharia de Controle e Automação pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA). Realizou graduação sanduíche pelo programa Ciências Sem Fronteiras, cursando Engenharia Elétrica na Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), em Budapeste, Hungria. Durante a graduação participou do Centro Acadêmico do curso, realizou pesquisa voluntária no Departamento de Ecologia da UFLA e monitoria. Também foi bolsista de Iniciação Científica da FAPEMIG, com o projeto de pesquisa: "Mapeamento da Unidade de uma Cultura Agrícola Utilizando uma Rede de Sensores sem Fio". Obteve duas passagens pela Robótica Jr., a empresa júnior do curso. A primeira como diretor de Responsabilidade Socioambiental. A segunda, após voltar do intercâmbio, como assessor da área de Projetos. Em projeto de extesão, teve participação voluntária na equipe da UFLA do Projeto Rondon, Operações Itacaiúnas de Julho de 2015.
