João Rodrigues Miguel

PhD in Biological Sciences (Botany) in 2003 and Master in Biological Sciences (Botany) in 1996, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is part of the permanent faculty of the Graduate Program in Science Teaching (PPGEC); Adjunct Professor at the University of Grande Rio Professor José de Souza Herdy (UNIGRANRIO); He is a member of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus (NDE) and Adjunct Professor of the Biological Sciences Course, where he teaches the subjects of Plant Organography; Taxonomy of Phanerogams and Applied Botany; the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) and the Animal Use Ethics Committee (CEUA) all at the University of Grande Rio Professor José de Souza Herdy (UNIGRANRIO). Has experience in Biology Teaching research in Conservation Units of the Municipalities that make up the Baixada Fluminense of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Collaborating researcher in taxonomy of higher vegetables - Trigoniaceae at the Jardim Botânico Research Institute of Rio de Janeiro.

Possui mestrado em Ciências Biológicas (Botânica) pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1996) e doutorado em Ciências Biológicas Botânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2003). Atualmente é pesquisador colaborador do Instituto de Pesquisa Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro e professor adjunto doutor da Universidade do Grande Rio. Tem experiência na área de Biologia Geral, com ênfase em Pesquisa em Ensino de Ciências: Questões atuais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ensino de ciências, educação ambiental, ensino, taxonomia e ensino - botânica - divulgação.
