Bacharel em Letras e Direito, possui Mestrado (2003) e Doutorado (2008) em Direito Internacional e Integração Econômica, pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) e em Droit de la Famille (2020), pela Universidade de Lyon. Possui experiência profissional na advocacia privada, voltada às áreas de Direito Civil, Direito Empresarial e Direito Internacional Privado. Desde 09/2008, é Professor Adjunto (2008-2016) e, recentemente, Professor Associado (2016-...) do Departamento de Direito Civil da Faculdade Nacional de Direito, da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (FND/UFRJ); onde leciona Direito Internacional Privado e Direito Civil. Professor do Programa de Mestrado em Políticas Públicas e Direitos Humanos do NEPP-DH/UFRJ, desde 2015. Possui vasta vivência no exterior, com inúmeras atividades e visitas feitas a instituições estrangeiras.
