Celia Martins Cortez Silva

Bachelor of Science degree in PHYSICS, State University of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (1976); MEDICINE degree, Souza Marques School of Medicine (1995); Specialization in Psychiatry (PUC-RJ, 1999), Integral Quantum Medicine (IBMQ-lab, 1997) and Hipniatry (UNIRIO 2002). She is MASTER in NUCLEAR BIOCIENCES by UERJ (1981) and DOCTOR in SCIENCES by the Brazilian Center for Physical Research - CBPF (1992). She was a postdoctoral fellow at BIOINFORMÁTICA at USP de São Carlos and was VISITING RESEARCH FELLOW at The Open University, England. She is Associate Professor at the INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS (IME-UERJ) and was Coordinator of the MSc in Computational Sciences of UERJ (2011-2014). She is a RESEARCHER OF PRODUCTIVITY at CNPq and has been researching since 1993 in the areas of Neuroscience, Molecular Biophysics, Stress Physiology and Computational Sciences, coordinating projects in Mathematical-Computational Modeling of Biological Systems. In 2000 she started the research line in Molecular Biophysics, with emphasis on fluorescence studies on Binding of proteins. She was Professor of the Department of Physiological Sciences of the Institute of Biology in UERJ (IBRAG-UERJ) for 29 years, where she coordinated the Physiology III, Psychology, for 15 years, as well as teaching Physiology classes for the courses in the area Biomedical. She is an ad hoc reviewer of the journals: Journal Theoretical Biology, Journal of Molecular Structure, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology, Spectrochimica Acta Part A, Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry, European Journal of Medical Chemistry among others, and author of the book PHYSIOLOGY APPLIED TO PSYCHOLOGY edited by Ed , Brazil). Organizer of the International Symposium on Computational Modeling in Neurobiology, within the International Conference of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering (ICCMSE)

É MESTRE em BIOCIÊNCIAS NUCLEARES pela UERJ (1981) e DOUTORA EM CIÊNCIAS pelo Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas - CBPF (1992). Realizou PÓS-DOUTORADO em BIOINFORMÁTICA na USP de São Carlos e foi VISITING RESEARCH FELLOW na The Open University, Inglaterra. É Professora Associada do INSTITUTO DE MATEMÁTICA E ESTATÍSTICA (IME-UERJ) e foi Coordenadora do Mestrado em Ciências Computacionais da UERJ (2011-2014). É PESQUISADORA DE PRODUTIVIDADE do CNPq e desenvolve pesquisa, desde 1993, nas áreas de Neurociência, Biofísica Molecular, Fisiologia do Estresse e Ciências Computacionais, coordenando projetos em Modelagem Matemático-computacional de Sistemas Biológicos. Em 2000 iniciou a linha de pesquisa em Biofísica Molecular, com ênfase em estudos fluorescência em Interação de ligantes com proteínas. Foi Professora do Departamento de Ciências Fisiológicas do Instituto de Biologia da UERJ (IBRAG-UERJ) por 29 anos, onde coordenou a Disciplina de Fisiologia III, da graduação em Psicologia, por 15 anos, além de ministrar aulas de Fisiologia para os cursos da área Biomédica. É revisora ad hoc dos periódicos: Journal Theoretical Biology, Journal of Molecular Structure, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology, Spectrochimica Acta Part A, Jornal Brasileiro de Psiquiatria, European Journal of Medical Chemistry entre outros, e autora do livro FISIOLOGIA APLICADA À PSICOLOGIA editado pela Ed. Guanabara Koogan, Rio de Janeiro. Organizadora do International Symposium on Computational Modeling in Neurobiology, dentro da International Conference of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering (ICCMSE)
