Luciana Grether de Mello Carvalho

Master in Arts Design from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro where she is a professor in design, drawing and illustration. He also teaches Elementary School I and High School in schools in RJ. He illustrated around 40 children's books, weekly works for Jornal do Brasil between 2001 and 2002, opening of the soap opera "Joia Rara" on TV Globo in 2013 and the book A vida de Buda, from the same plot. In 2017, he published Marinela (Ed ZIT) in which he is the author of the texts and images that won the Lagarta Seal Category Illustration Set of the AEILIJ Award, was selected for The Golden Pen Exhibition. Serbia in 2017, 11th Tracing Stories - POA Children's and Youth Literature Illustration Exhibition in 2018, Bratislava Slovakia BIB International Illustration Biennial 2019 and UN ODS Reading Club in 2021. Participated with an exhibition of illustrations, books, workshops, lectures and round tables at national and international events: Flipinha programming; Autonomous University of Lisbon UAL, Casa do Brasil in Munich; Bratislava International Illustration Biennale BIB; Heritage Bag Project in Vienna; Catalog of the Bologna Fair; between others. Finalist of the AEILIJ Award, in the Illustration Set category, with the books Marinela (Ed ZIT, 2017) and Cascudinho, the storyteller fish (Ed do Brasil, 2019). The other stamps received for illustrated books are: The Red Accordion (Ed. Pó de Estrelas, 2019) Seal of Distinction UNESCO Chair of Reading in 2020; A Bela Adormizada do Samba (Editora Mazza) is on the list of the 30 best books of the year by Revista Crescer e Mistério in Queluz (Ed. Imperial Novo Milênio, 2021) won the FNLIJ Highly Recommendable Seal in 2022 and was one of the five finalists in the Jabuti Award 2023. In the creation process, he dedicates himself to designing in partnershiprepresenting from the techniques of painting, drawing and cutting and collage. Drawing and teaching keeps learning.

Participou com exposição de ilustrações, livros, oficinas, palestras e mesas redondas em eventos nacionais e internacionais: programação da Flipinha; Universidade Autônoma de Lisboa UAL, Casa do Brasil de Munique; Bienal Internacional de Ilustração de Bratislava BIB; Projeto Mala de Herança em Viena; Catálogo da Feira de Bolonha; entre outros. Finalista do Prêmio da AEILIJ, na categoria Conjunto de Ilustrações, com os livros Marinela (Ed ZIT, 2017) e Cascudinho, o peixe contador de histórias (Ed do Brasil, 2019). Os demais selos recebidos por livros ilustrados são: O Acordeão vermelho (Ed. Pó de Estrelas, 2019) Selo Distinção Cátedra UNESCO de Leitura em 2020; A Bela Adormecida do Samba (Editora Mazza) está na lista dos 30 melhores livros do ano pela Revista Crescer e Mistério em Queluz (Ed. Imperial Novo Milênio, 2021) ganhou o Selo Altamente Recomendável da FNLIJ em 2022 e foi um dos cinco finalistas do Prêmio Jabuti 2023. No processo de criação se dedica a projetar em parceria representando a partir das técnicas de pintura, desenho e recorte e colagem. Desenhando e ensinando continua aprendendo.
