Matheus Souza Ruiz

Master of Science in Physical Oceanography at University of São Paulo. Graduated in Civil Engineering at University Santa Cecília (2016). Currently working as Researcher at the Núcleo de Pesquisas Hidrodinâmicas of University Santa Cecília (NPH-UNISANTA) and as Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Engineering at Santa Cecília University. Has experience in hydrodynamical modeling and environmental monitoring of coastal and estuarine regions. Since 2019 has been a member of the Baixada Santista Hydrographic Basin Committee, and since 2021 has been an adviser of the Municipal Council for the Defense of the Environment in the municipality of Santos and the Advisory Council of the Municipal Conservation Unit Parque Natural Engenho São Jorge dos Erasmos.

Mestre em Oceanografia Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (2020). Graduado em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Santa Cecília (2016). Atualmente é Pesquisador no Núcleo de Pesquisas Hidrodinâmicas da Universidade Santa Cecília (NPH-UNISANTA) e Professor Assistente da Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade Santa Cecília. Tem experiência em Modelagem Numérica Hidrodinâmica, Análise de Dados Ambientais e Monitoramento Ambiental de regiões costeiras e estuarinas. Desde 2019 é membro do Comitê de Bacia Hidrográfica da Baixada Santista, e desde 2021 é conselheiro do Conselho Municipal de Defesa do Meio Ambiente no município de Santos e do Conselho Consultivo da Unidade de Conservação Municipal Parque Natural Engenho São Jorge dos Erasmos.
