Ricardo Gomes Lima

Bacharel e Licenciado em Ciências Sociais pelo Instituto de Ciências Humanas e Filosofia / UFF (1978). Mestre em Artes Visuais / Antropologia da Arte pela Escola de Belas Artes / UFRJ (1993). Doutor em Antropologia Cultural pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia e Antropologia do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais / UFRJ (2006). Professor Adjunto do Instituto de Artes / UERJ (desde 1995) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes. Membro do Núcleo de Cultura Popular e co-editor da Revista Textos Escolhidos de Cultura e Artes Populares. Foi pesquisador do Centro Nacional de Cultura Popular / IPHAN / MinC (1983 - 2011), onde foi responsável pelo Setor de Pesquisa e Coordenador da Sala do Artista Popular. Assumiu, no período de 2009 a 2011, a Coordenação Técnica do Promoart / Programa de Promoção do Artesanato de Tradição Cultural. Realiza pesquisas sobre o universo da cultura popular, em especial o campo da arte e do artesanato populares. Foi Diretor do Departamento Cultural da UERJ de 2008 a 2016, e foi coordenador do Ecomuseu Ilha Grande da UERJ no período de 2009 a 2015.

Ricardo Gomes Lima holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences from the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy / UFF (1978). He also has a Master in Visual Arts / Anthropology of Art from the School of Fine Arts / UFRJ (1993). He got a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the Post-Graduate Program of Sociology and Anthropology from the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences / UFRJ (2006). He has been an Associate Professor of the Institute of Arts / UERJ since 1995 and of the Graduate Arts Program. He is a member of the Popular Culture Center and co-editor of the Chosen Texts On Culture and Popular Arts Magazine. He was a researcher at the National Center of Popular Culture / IPHAN / Ministry of Culture from 1983 to 2011, where he was responsible for the research area and the coordinator of the Popular Artist Hall. From 2009 to 2011 he coordinated the Technical Coordination of Promoart / Program for the Promotion of Cultural Tradition Crafts. He does research on the universe of popular culture, in particular the field of art and popular crafts. He was the director of the Cultural Department of UERJ from 2008 to 2016 and was the coordinator of Ilha Grande Ecomuseum - UERJ from 2009 to 2015.
