Alexandre César Muniz de Oliveira

Alexandre C. M de Oliveira has a degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA -1992), a master's degree in Electrical Engineering (UFMA - 1997), and a PhD. in Applied Computing from the Brazilian Institute for Space Research (INPE - 2004). He has worked at UFMA since 1994, reaching the position of professor in 2021, having explored Fundamentals of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Operations Research in his academic career. Alexandre also assumed a temporary position as a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing at the University of Kent, UK, in 2017, for one year, researching Meta-learning and Meta-heuristics applied to optimisation problems. In 2022, he started a postdoctoral research position at the Insight Center for Data Analytics at University College Cork (UCC), investigating Optimisation-Simulation Closed Loop Systems applied to Flexible Manufacturing Systems.
