Dr. Teresa Cristina Moraes Genro is Animal Scientist with focus on grazing systems, particularly on the plant-animal interaction. She is member of the editorial boads of the Brazilian Journal of Animal Science, Ciência Rural, Animal Feed Science and Technology, Revista de Ciências Agroveterinárias and Acta Scientiarum. She works on several research projects related to animal production systems based on natural pasture, pasture production modelling and temperate pasture improvement. Since 2007, she leads a project focused in the beef cattle production on the natural grassland systems ocorring in Southern of Brazil, Uruguay and Northest of Argentina n collaborattion with institutions of USA, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
bachelor's at Zootecnia from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1988), master's at Zoothecny from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1993) and doctorate at Zoothecny from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1999). Has experience in Zoothecny, focusing on Animals Food Evaluation, acting on the following subjects: milho, comportamento ingestivo, massa de forragem, bovinos de corte and polpa cítrica.
