He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (1999), a Master's degree in Agrochemistry with an emphasis on Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (2002) and a PhD in Chemistry, with an emphasis on Physical Chemistry, from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2005). He is currently a Professor (Class D / Associate III) at the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) where he teaches subjects in the area of #8203;#8203;Physical Chemistry for undergraduate courses in Chemistry Bachelor's degree with technological emphasis, Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology , Nutrition and in the Strictu Sensu Graduate Program in Chemistry. He is currently developing research in the area of #8203;#8203;Physical Chemistry working in the following lines of research: Colloidal Systems; Biphasic Aqueous Systems; studies of synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of nanoparticles; interaction studies between nanoparticles and biological materials. He served as Coordinator of the Chemistry Area of #8203;#8203;the Institutional Teaching Initiation Program-PIBID / CAPES in 2012 and 2013 and from March 2014 to May 2018 he held the role of Institutional Coordinator of PIBID at UNIFAL-MG.
Possui graduação em Química pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1999), mestrado em Agroquímica com ênfase em Química Orgânica pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2002) e doutorado em Química, com ênfase em Físico-Química, pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2005). Atualmente é Docente (Classe D / Associado IV) no Instituto de Química da Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) onde ministra disciplinas da área de Físico-Química para os cursos de graduação em Química Bacharelado com ênfase tecnológica, Licenciatura em Química, Biotecnologia, Farmácia e no Programa de Pós-Graduação Strictu Sensu em Química (Mestrado/Doutorado). Atuou como Coordenador de Área da Química do Programa Institucional de Iniciação à Docência - PIBID / CAPES em 2012 e 2013 e de março de 2014 à maio de 2018 exerceu à função de Coordenador Institucional do PIBID na UNIFAL-MG. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisas na área de Físico-Química atuando nas seguintes linhas de pesquisa: Sistemas Coloidais; Sistemas Aquosos Bifásicos; Estudos de síntese, funcionalização e caracterização de nanopartículas; Estudos interacionais entre nanopartículas e materiais biológicos.
