Thiago Vasconcellos Modenesi

He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the Professional Master in Innovation and Development (MPID) at the Centro Universitário Guararapes (UNIFG) as a permanent professor and in the Professional Master in Public Management for the Development of the Northeast (MGP) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) also as a permanent professor. Graduated in History from the Federal University of Pernambuco UFPE (2002); Specialization in History Teaching at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco UFRPE (2007); Specialization in Political Science (Estácio de Sá); Specialization in Modern Education (PUC-RS); Master in Education, with dissertation entitled: Education for Abolition: Charges in the Second Kingdom of Brazil , by UFPE (2012) and Doctorate in Education, thesis entitled: Education and Illustrated Magazine in the First Years of the Republic, by UFPE (2015) . Conducted a post-doctoral internship under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Edilson Fernandes de Souza with the theme "The Agricultural School São Sebastião, Jaboatão dos Guararapes - 1900 to 2000" (2020). He is leader of the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Comics, Charges and Cartoons - GIPHQ. He works at PLENA - Research Group in Reading, Writing and Narrative, as a researcher and member of the editorial board of Revista Cajueiro. He works at ASPAS - Association of Researchers in Sequential Art, as a researcher and advisor. He works at the Laboratory of Sport Management and Public Policies - LABGESPP as a researcher. He works at the Laboratory of Sociology of Sport - LASEPE as a researcher. He also served as Executive Secretary for Sport and Leisure, accumulating the function of Executive Secretary for Culture and Historical Heritage, both in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco in 2016. He is a public teacher at the Pernambuco State Education Network, at the moment granted to State Department of Culture in which he exercises the function of Supervisor. As a previous experience, he was substitute professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco UFPE (2013-2014) and Professor at UniNabuco (2018-19). He works in the areas of research in Comics, Theory of Education, History of Education, Political Science, Public Management and Innovation.

Possuo Licenciatura em História pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco UFPE (2002) e em Pedagogia pela Faculdade Única de Ipatinga/MG (2021), e Bacharelado em Direito pela Faculdade Metropolitana do Recife (2021); Especialização em Ensino de História pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco UFRPE (2007); Especialização em Ciência Política pela Universidade Estácio de Sá/SP; Especialização em Moderna Educação pela Pontifica Universidade Católica (PUC-RS); Mestrado em Educação, com dissertação intitulada:"Educação Para a Abolição: Charges no Segundo Reinado do Brasil, pela UFPE (2012) e Doutorado em Educação, com tese intitulada: A Educação e e Revista Illustrada nos Primeiros Anos Da República, pela UFPE (2015). Atuo como Professor Permanente no Mestrado Profissional em Gestão Pública para o Desenvolvimento do Nordeste e nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Biomédica e Ciências Farmacêuticas, todos na UFPE . Realizei estágio de Pós-Doutorado com o tema "A Escola Agrícola São Sebastião, Jaboatão dos Guararapes - 1900 a 2000" (2020). Sou líder do Grupo Interdisciplinar de Pesquisas em Histórias em Quadrinhos, Charges e Cartuns - GIPHQ. Atuo no PLENA - Grupo de Pesquisa em Leitura, Escrita e Narrativa, como pesquisador e membro do conselho editorial da Revista Cajueiro. Atuo na ASPAS - Associação dos Pesquisadores em Arte Sequencial, como pesquisador e conselheiro. Atuo no Laboratório de Gestão do Esporte e Políticas Públicas - LABGESPP como pesquisador. Atuo no Laboratório de Sociologia do Esporte - LASEPE como pesquisador. Também exerci a função de Secretário Executivo de Esporte e Lazer acumulando a função de Secretário Executivo de Cultura e Patrimônio Histórico, ambas na cidade de Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco em 2016. Sou professor Concursado da Rede Estadual de Ensino de Pernambuco desde 2005. Professor Visitante na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco - UFPE. Atuo nas áreas de pesquisa em Histórias em Quadrinhos, História da Educação, Ciência Política, Cultura, Gestão Pública e Inovação.
