Francisco Aparecido Rodrigues

Francisco A. Rodrigues is a full professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (University of São Paulo), working in Complex Systems and Data Science. He is an editor of the journal Chaos, Solitons and Fractals (Elsevier), an Associate Editor of the Journal of Physics: Complexity (IOP Publishing), an editor of the Journal of Computational Science (Elsevier) and a co-editor of the Europhysics Letters. Francisco has published more than 120 articles in international scientific journals that have been cited more than 9000 times (h-index 36). He is an advisor (master's and doctoral levels) at the ICMC's Computer Science and Computational Mathematics Program, the IFSC's Graduate Program in Physics and the Graduate Program in Statistics (ICMC-UFScar). Francisco was a visiting professor at the University of Warwick (UK) between 2018 and 2019, receiving funding from the Leverhulme Trust. He was a visiting researcher (short-term) at the Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain), the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research (Germany), and the Complexity Science Hub Vienna (Austria). Francisco was also a visiting professor at the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Universidad de Zaragoza. His teaching areas include Complex Networks, Statistics, Stochastic Processes, Machine Learning, Causality and Data Science. Francisco is also the author of the book "An Introduction to Multiplex Networks: Basic Formalism and Structural Properties", published by Springer in 2018. É editor da revista Chaos, Solitons and Fractals (Elsevier), editor Associado da revista Journal of Physics: Complexity (IOP Publishing), editor da revista Journal of Computational Science (Elsevier) e co-editor da revista Europhysics Letters. Publicou mais de 120 artigos em revistas científicas internacionais que já foram citados mais de 9000 vezes (h-index 36). Foi presidente da comissão de pesquisa do ICMC por dois mandatos. É orientador (níveis mestrado e doutorado) no Programa de Ciências de Computação e Matemática Computacional do ICMC, Programa de Pós-graduação em Física do IFSC e Programa de Pós-graduação em Estatística (ICMC-UFScar). Foi professor visitante na University of Warwick (Reino Unido) entre 2018 e 2019 com financiamento da Leverhulme Trust.
